[BOAI] METALIS, a service for LIS open access literature

Apologies for cross-posting.

METALIS, a free web service, available at: http://metalis.cilea.it,
is a system of service providers that harvest metadata about
papers in Library and Information Science from several OAI-PMH
compliant repositories. Its main features are:
- a search tool with advanced search options, filters and sorting;
- an experimental service for the creation of dynamic links to
resources related to search results.

METALIS was created by Zeno Tajoli within CILEA's AePIC Team
(http://www.aepic.it/) and is based on existing open source software
(thanks to UKOLN's Teams for support, even though any possible
fault of the system depends exclusively upon us).

METALIS will be presented at the next DELOS thematic workshop:
"Digital Repositories: Interoperability and Common Services",
11-13 May, 2005, Heraklion (Crete, Greece), web site:
